High in the mountains of Canada’s Bugaboo National Park, toward the end of the season, a warm Summer day can abruptly turn to winter – an overnight snowstorm can blanket the peaks and valleys with a deep snowfall, only to see it melt away with the sunshine of the next day. Such was the case with this Blue Alpine Phacelia that only grows in the Alpine environments in western North America. As the cold exterior of snow melts, its delicate bloom springs to life with the eternal warmth that nature always brings.
